Dr. Angela Echiverri is a first generation, queer person of color raised in Inglewood, CA. Dr. Echiverri completed their residency training in Family and Community Medicine at UCSF / San Francisco General Hospital, and currently practices in Los Angeles, CA at the Venice Family Clinic, a federally qualified health center affiliated with UCLA. They relocated to Los Angeles from the Bay Area where they served as a core faculty member of the Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency Program, an affiliate program of UCSF, as their inaugural Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Antiracism (DEIA) from 2019 - 2025. They have made significant contributions to recruiting and retaining diverse residents, cultivating a safe and inclusive learning climate, fostering spaces of belonging, and growing the next generation of community health agents. Dr. Echiverri is passionate about supporting and challenging folks towards the critical learning and unlearning on our collective journey towards antiracism.
